In Oklahoma City, new jobs are happening. There are numerous companies who have said they will begin hiring in the coming months should economic conditions continue to improve. Oklahoma City Job Market Is Improving

For those who live in the Oklahoma City area, there is hope that the economy is turning around and that jobs will become more readily available, at least that is what some reports indicate. Oklahoma City added 1600 jobs, right behind Kansas City, which added 1800 jobs. Kansas City, which had a strong increase in manufacturing positions, is one of the top rated in the nation. This is according to the recent analysis released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In the Oklahoma City area, the main job increases came from the manufacturing industry. This is good news as many of the region's plants and production facilities have gone quiet in recent years as the demand for products dropped. In economic conditions that are less desirable, people stop purchasing as much product, everything from toothpaste to cars. As a result, manufacturing sectors are often hit the worst in such cycles.
