In order to find the Oklahoma City job you need, would you consider going back to school or freshening up your skill set? If so, then there may be funds available to help you to do just that. The George Kaiser Family Foundation announced this week that it would be offering grants to area organizations that can help citizens to get back to work.
The Background Information
The George Kaiser Family Foundation will work with area nonprofit organizations that provide help for job skills and education, as well as placement programs. Accord to Ken Levit, who is the executive director of the foundation, it is all go now. He said the following. "We are committed to serving individuals and families in our community and providing them with basic needs like food, shelter, health care and other important services." It is important to know that the financial aid will come through other organizations.
The grant amounts will head out from the foundation in the following way:
· About $55,000 will go to Sunbeam Family Services Inc
· About $50,000 of grants will go to Smart Start Central Oklahoma.
· About $25,000 will go to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma
· About $20,000 will go to TEEM: The Education and Employment Ministry.
In particular, the funds going to Sunbeam will help provide services individuals need to get back on track.
